Located in a discreet spot within the Mildura Waves complex (inside the disabled toilet, down the corridor next to the café), the STI-X test vending machine allows you to collect an STI test kit in complete privacy.
STI-X is available to anyone 16 years and over, you will also need a mobile phone for receiving the kit and being contacted for results.
To receive your kit, follow the on-screen prompts, the whole process takes just 60–90 seconds.
Two small, plain, unmarked boxes will be dispensed, containing everything you need to collect your samples. You can choose to collect your samples there and then, or take them away to use at another time.
Simply follow the instructions, place your completed samples back into the original packaging, and return them by post (free postage is provided).
Kits are sent to Melbourne Sexual Health Centre (MSHC) for testing. If treatment is required, this will be arranged at a location convenient for the individual.
